Einsteinium Applications

Einsteinium is used as a target for bombardment in order to synthesize more heavy trans-uranium elements. For example, Einsteinium-253 had been used to synthesize element 101 – Mendelevium.

The main reason to synthesize Einsteinium is to carry out research of heaviest trans-uranium elements in order to complete our knowledges about these elements.
